With our global infrastructure and our experienced personnel, we have the ability to implement any fixture, in any volume, anywhere in the world.

We apply the same exacting standards to everything we do, regardless of scale and no matter where in the world – based upon our significant experience gained since 1994.

2008

Jonathan Haigh was the original founder of what has now become a global business spread across three continents. The original business focussed entirely on providing GNFR warehousing facilities, originally to Asda, up until 2008 when the business increased the scope of its services to include consignment stock management for full retail store roll-out delivery.

It was during this time that the Projects division of the business was born in order to provide project management and installation services into the retail store roll-out

2013

By 2013, with a headcount of circa. 80, the business had begun working with an increasing number of blue-chip high street retailers like Boots and The Works managing multiple equipment initiatives, roll-outs and as the main contractor supporting a UK expansion across 150 stores.

In 2014 we had our first international consolidation centre in Brisbane, Australia providing a service for our first international customer, Kmart. In the same year we had started to provide consolidation services for Tesco and had added a Mechanical & Electrical division – 2014 was a busy year!

2015 - 2017

We added our Construction division in early 2015 and our Fixtures division in 2017 which effectively closed the loop on our end-to-end solution and allowed Sigma to be the only provider able to offer a complete GNFR service offering – from fixture design to store construction and fit-out.

Since then the business has gone from strength to strength with the addition of customer like Primark, Pets at Home, JD Sports, Footlocker and Sport Direct in the UK and Big W, Lovisa and Target in Australia. We have also added a further consolidation centre in Melbourne, Australia – 2017 was also a busy year!

2018

By 2018, we continued to add more recognized Blue-Chip clients to our books. Our Mechanical & Electrical teams were busy within stores of Halfords and Go Outdoors, and we were appointed main contractor for Lidl as they pressed ahead with their ambitious growth plans for all new build stores in the UK.

2019

2019 was another milestone year… We launched our new website! And as part of our exciting brand development, we added branded vehicles to our growing logistics division! We continued our growth by adding clients such as Superdrug, Blacks and Terry White, servicing requirements for Fixtures.

Thompsons acquisition

In one of the most exciting chapters of Sigma’s story to date is the acquisition of specialist shopfitter, refurbishment and building contractor Thompsons Limited. Since it was founded in 2008, Thompsons has grown rapidly to become a leading provider across its end markets nationally, and through Sigma’s investment has ambitions to continue to pursue multiple organic and inorganic growth within Food & Beverage, Leisure and Retail
