Helping ASDA customers ‘save money and live better’
At Sigma we’re working with leading supermarket giant Asda to transform their concession offering throughout their store portfolio as part of a focus on ‘test and learn’ partnerships in 2020. We’re supporting the mothballing of the existing fresh food counters and bringing in new and exciting brands as part of efforts to increase its focus on the food-for-now market, managing the entire conversion of the in-scope store footprint. As one of their preferred contractors, we’re partnering to help deliver in excess of 120 counters over the period 2020/21.
Each project is fully managed and typically delivered within a 3-4 week timeframe from start to finish; we pride ourselves on delivering on time and within budget. Our experts are adept at delivering the full project cycle, from supporting the development of a brief and defining the scope of the works to bringing in the expertise needed to deliver and establishing relationships with key third-party suppliers to complete the job on time.
Concession brands we’ve supported
Every concession brand is different and so we work closely with Asda and the concession brands to ensure any bespoke and tailored requirements are understood and delivered. From extraction systems to capture fumes when live cooking demonstrations take place, to compliant drainage, waste management and hygiene systems to support the handling of raw meat, we can be relied upon to deliver a solution for every requirement.
As part of a major refurbishment programme, we have also supported Asda with their stores in Minworth and Bedminster to deliver a new, joint-brand concession concept, bringing together Sushi Daily and Bam Tuk side by side in the same space. In line with Asda health and safety guidelines and expected standards for food-hygiene and preparation areas, this double-brand concept caters for raw fish (sushi) alongside Asian streetfood preparation as well allowing for real-time live demonstrations for both brands.
